NICU Level III: Capable of caring for the smallest and sickest newborns. Offers comprehensive care including assisted ventilation, access to subspecialty consultations, and advanced imaging.
NICU Level II: Special care nursery for moderately ill newborns, typically born ≥32 weeks gestation and weighing ≥1500g.
NICU Level I: Basic level care for healthy newborns. Can provide care for neonates who are physiologically stable but require monitoring.
ICU &lt;1 Year Old: Includes stays for infants under 1 year old who received ICU care but not specifically NICU care.
Non-NICU: Pediatric stays that did not involve any NICU or ICU care for infants.
